OUR VALUES

We are committed to uplifting the entire LGBTQIA+ community in Litchfield County, therefore there are certain things that will not be tolerated in our spaces. Discrimination and/or violence towards anyone based on race, ethnicity, religion, color, sex, age, neurotype, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity or expression, mental health status, housing status, ancestry, pregnancy, or any other marginalized status will not be accepted.

By being in community with us, you agree to uphold the dignity and worth of all people.

OUR COMMUNITY NORMS

  1.  We strive to understand each other, and approach each other with respect and curiosity while assuming best intent.

  2.  We encourage everyone to speak from their own experiences, and not to assume an understanding of marginalized identities they don’t occupy.

  3.  We look for opportunities to lift each other up, so that a win for one is a win for all.

  4.  While allies are appreciated, in this space we are centering the voices of LGBTQIA+ peoples. Therefore, allies may be asked to give space to LGBTQIA+ members when asking for input or feedback.

  5.  We value input from all community members and will remain mindful of those who may have trouble speaking up or taking up space.

  6.  Conflict and tension are natural and an opportunity for growth. Therefore, we seek to address conflict amongst ourselves in an appropriate and equitable way. If there is some reason the conflict cannot be addressed safely, or if support is needed, we have processes around mediation and accountability available.
